The FPMT (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1975 by Lama Thubten Yeshe (1935-1984) and Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche, both Tibetan Buddhist monks.

The Foundation is dedicated to preserving and spreading Mahayana Buddhism throughout the world by creating opportunities for listening, reflecting, meditating, practicing, community service and based on that experience spreading the Dharma to sentient beings through various projects that preserve tradition.
